Resend stock for some offers

You send the stock of one offer, a handful of offers, every offer matching a filter, or every failed offer to the marketplace again, once the reason it did not go through is fixed.

Before you begin

Who can do this: an Operator. Viewers see no tick boxes, no Resync and no Retry failed.

Time needed: 1 to 2 minutes.

Before you start: fix the cause first. Read Last problem on the offers: if the marketplace is still down, or still refuses the number, sending again only fails again. The account must be Sending (Live, not paused and not suspended) for anything to be sent; otherwise the offers just wait.

Which button to use

One offerResyncThe circular-arrow button at the end of its row, the side panel, or the Offer page1

Every Failed offerRetry failedThe top of the Offers page (every account, or those in the Account filter); an account's Offers tab; the offers failed row of the Overview's Needs your attentionAll of them

All of them act at once, with no confirmation, and a message follows. Hover over any of them first: each says what it does, and when it cannot be used it is greyed out and says why.

Steps

Every failed offer

  1. Open Offers (or G then O) and click the Needs a fix quick view; for a single account, add it with the Account filter, or open the account's Offers tab. (The [n] offers failed on [account] row of the Overview's Needs your attention opens exactly this.)

The Offers page with the Account chip on Fashion Days RO and the Status chip on Failed: 23 offers, each row's status a red Failed with the start of its last problem under it, such as eMAG offer/save answered 503; Retry failed at the top right shows a red 23

  2. Read Last problem: hover over a row's status, or click the row to open it in the side panel. Here: 503, 429 and timeouts, so eMAG was down or overloaded. Check it works again: recent Sending round runs in Activity → Sync runs show a published count above 0, and offers are going to In sync. (A sending round still says Succeeded while the marketplace is down, so the result alone does not tell you.)

  3. Click Retry failed at the top right. The red number on it is how many offers have failed in the accounts it covers: every account, or only those of the Account filter or the account's tab. It queues every failed offer of those accounts, not only the ones on this page; offers the marketplace has ended are skipped. With no failed offer the button is greyed out: "No offer has failed."

On the Overview you can do the same without opening the list: the offers failed row of Needs your attention has Retry failed for one account, or Retry all failed when several accounts have failed offers.

A few chosen offers

  1. On Offers, find the offers with the search box, a quick view or a filter chip, for example Status: Rejected.

  2. Tick the box at the start of each row you want. Shift + click ticks every row between the last one you ticked and this one; with the keyboard, move with J and K and press X. The box in the header ticks every row of the page.

The Offers page filtered to Fashion Days RO with three offers ticked (one Failed, two Rejected); the selection bar at the bottom reads 3 offers selected, Select all 48 matching, Resync stock, Retry 1 failed, Export and the × to clear

  3. A bar appears at the bottom of the page: 3 offers selected. Click Resync stock. If some of the ticked offers cannot be resynced (not linked, orphaned, ended or withheld by the marketplace), the button says how many it will send, for example Resync stock (2 of 3). With failed offers among them, Retry 1 failed sends only those.

Esc or the × on the bar clears the selection. The selection belongs to the list on screen: changing the view, a filter, the sort or the page clears it.

Every offer that matches the filters

  1. Filter the list to exactly the offers you want, for example the Account filter on one account and Status: Rejected.

  2. Tick any row, then click Select all [n] matching on the bar. The bar now reads, for example, 48 matching offers selected: every offer that matches, on every page.

  3. Click Resync stock. Up to 5,000 matching offers can be resynced at once; above that the button is greyed out: "Resync over the filters takes at most 5,000 offers. Narrow the filters." Offers that cannot be resynced are skipped and counted. Retry failed on the bar sends only the failed offers among the matching ones.

By ticked rows there is no limit: Stock Sync sends them to the server in batches of 50 behind the scenes, and one message covers them all ("Resync requested for 120 offers."). Only a resync over the filters is capped, at 5,000.

One offer

  1. Find the offer on Offers (or with Ctrl K: type its id, SKU, barcode or name).

  2. Click the Resync button at the end of its row, or open the row and click Resync in the side panel (also on the Offer page). Where the marketplace or Stock Sync would refuse it, it is greyed out and the side panel says why under it, for example "Resync is not available — The offer has ended on the marketplace: no further stock is sent."

What you should see

After Retry failed:

The Offers page filtered to the failed offers of Fashion Days RO, with the message "23 failed offers of Fashion Days RO are queued again."

  • "23 failed offers of Fashion Days RO are queued again." when the list covers one account, as in the picture (also on the Overview's row for one account); over several accounts it reads "67 failed offers are queued again.". If some could not be, it adds how many: open them for the reason.

After Resync stock:

The Offers page filtered to Fashion Days RO with the message "Resync requested for 3 offers."

  • "Resync requested for 3 offers." The ticks are cleared. After a resync over the filters, it adds how many were skipped: "12 were skipped: not linked to a PIM product, or not failed."

After Resync on one offer:

An offer's side panel right after Resync: a green message says the offer is queued to be sent again

  • "Offer 310458 is queued to be sent again." The offer's History shows Queued to be sent again at once, and the send once it has run.

Then, for an account that is Sending:

  • The offers turn Waiting to send and are sent within seconds, the current Stock to publish of each. They are sent even if they looked In sync.
  • The rows change in place as it happens: each one flashes when its status changes, to In sync if the marketplace accepted it, or Rejected or Waiting to send with a new Last problem if not. On the Needs a fix view, an offer that is fixed no longer matches and leaves the list; the other rows keep their places.
  • Each offer's History shows Queued to be sent again (its Details give the stock to publish, often the same number as before), then a new call to the marketplace and a Published line; the account's Activity tab records what you did.

In Preview, or on a paused or suspended account, the offers wait until the account can send again.

If something goes wrong

You seeDo this
An amber message "Resync requested for 1 offer. 2 could not be: …"The others were sent. The ones listed stay ticked (see the picture below). See the table of reasons in Messages and what they mean.
Resync stock is greyed outHover over it for why: more than 5,000 matching after Select all … matching, or none of the ticked offers can be resynced.
The offers fail againThe cause is not fixed. Wait for the marketplace, then retry; if it keeps failing, tell the technical team. See Offers are Failed.
The offers are Rejected againRead Last problem: the marketplace still refuses the number. See Rejected by the marketplace.
"Nothing was changed: the message broker (RabbitMQ) is unavailable …"The selection stays as it was. Try again later. See The message queue is down.
No tick boxes, no Retry failedYou are a viewer.

Resync stock with three offers ticked, two of which could not be resent: the amber message names offers 298117 and 301224, and the bar reads 2 offers selected with those two still ticked

The message reads, for example, "Resync requested for 1 offer. 2 could not be: offer 298117 has ended on the marketplace; offer 301224 is refused by the marketplace (its reason is on the offer).": what was sent and, offer by offer, why the rest was not. It stays up for 15 seconds. The two offers that could not be sent stay ticked.

Example

From 03:00 eMAG answers "503: Service Unavailable" (its code for "not available right now") for well over an hour. By about 04:05, 23 offers of Fashion Days RO have used all eight attempts, about an hour of retries, and are Failed.

At 08:30 Radu sees 67 offers failed on 4 accounts in Needs your attention, Fashion Days RO with 23 of them. He clicks View: Offers opens on the failed offers, and he picks Fashion Days RO in the Account chip. The reasons are all 503, 429 or timeouts. In Activity → Sync runs, the latest Fashion Days RO Sending round at 08:22 shows 31 published, so eMAG is back. He clicks Retry failed at the top right: "23 failed offers of Fashion Days RO are queued again." A few seconds later the rows flash and leave the list one by one, and on the Overview the row now reads 44 offers failed on 3 accounts.

Later, the marketplace team says they lifted the stock limit on offers 305660, 287301 and 276305, which were Rejected with "Stock value … is above the maximum …". Radu picks Status: Rejected, ticks those three, and clicks Resync stock: "Resync requested for 3 offers." The three rows flash and turn In sync.
